The day we got there was a nightmare for our lads because we had got drunk unfathomably loads. On our arrival in the restaurant we were welcomed by mr Sergei who had a lot to offer us. The lads got tipsier when we all took a sip of the russian vodka. The food was absolutly gorgeous - i beleive that the chef had spent the day in the kitchen till the break of dawn. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the taste of russia and the russian food and authentic attitude. We really adored the place. Moreover, i would recomend to pop in there just for a nice mug of lemon tea amid chating up Kate Katuna. She was flawless - absolutly gorgeous.

I have discovered the greatest restaurant around -What can I say but this is THE place to go in Liverpool -- the jewel of Russia in Merseyside! The food is as sumptuous as the menu is diverse; the staff are ALWAYS thinking of you first and the whole experience is second to none. Everyone is treated with excellent customer service, whether you are a footballer, film star or man on the street -- and many stars do eat in there! This restaurant is a testiment to the excellent cuisine that is available in Liverpool.......the St Petersburg and it\'s staff lead the way in the dining experience. The owners are friendly and always take the time to mingle with the guests and make them feel welcome. I can\'t stress enough how good this restaurant is.........I only wish I had discovered it earlier! Thanks to all the staff who make the experience of eating at the ONLY Russian restaurant in the area a great one! Spassibo! (and you have GOT to try their blini!!!)

This was quite a bizarre experience, but I loved all of it - the entertainment was great - Dr Zhivago being played perfectly on the bontempi just added to the atmosphere. The menu is extremely extensive - great lamb and pickles etc, and the raspberry vodka is to die for. I will certainly return!

My husband and I wanted to try something different for our anniversary. We chose this restaurant as it is the only Russian restaurant outside London. All I can say is WELL DONE! The menu leaves nothing to the imagination. I didn't realise that Russians ate so well! The starters menu was so extensive, it was hard to choose from. I chose the traditional Borsch whilst my husband chose the crab bilini. Both were delicious. Main course I had Svinina Po Petrovsky which was pork filled with cheese and topped with cheese apple and cream. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had Zarskoye Miaso, steak cooked with prunes and red wine baked in a Russian pot. There were extremely generous portions much to my husband's delight as he doesn't like 'nouvelle cusine' portions. We couldn't manage dessert but did manage a few shots of Vodka as in keeping with the tradition! It was a little pricey but well worth it for a special occasion.

Excellent meal on Saturday night . It was a bit quite but that's not your fault , it was every were! We will be visiting again soon and will most probably book our staff night out .

12/September/2001. Hi Sergei, We consider eating out to be something of a hobby and as such find it hard to find something different from the norm. That was exactly what we got when we visited St. Petersburg. The atmosphere was amazing.The food was fabulous. Good sized portions and looked,smelled and tasted divine.In a world where we are so often dissappointed this was a gem of a find. We will be back.

What a fantastic place! Possibly one of the best meals I have ever had. The blinis were mouthwateringly delicious and coupled with the black bread, they just blew me away. The main course was amazing, beef with prunes, served in a little pot. Flavours that I hadn't experienced before, ever! When the pudding came I was waiting for someone to wake me from my dream! We finished off with a Vodka, smooth and warm - WOW! That's it, I'm hooked, I'm coming back as soon as I can! I did try to peek at the chef, but I couldn't see any angels in the kitchen, because heaven must be missing their best cook! Sergei, we will be coming up from London as often as we can!
